
Nordic Mining receives the Fennoscandian Mining Award 2025
Nordic Mining’s Engebø project has been named the winner of the Fennoscandian Mining Award 2025 at the Fennoscandian Exploration and Mining Conference in Levi, Finland – the largest mining conference in the Nordic region.
The award recognizes outstanding performance in innovation, social responsibility and sustainability in the mining industry. The jury praised Nordic Mining for demonstrating both courage and long-term accountability in bringing the Engebø project to realization.

The Fennoscandian Awards Committee highlighted the project’s environmental and social approach, noting that the company met all regulatory requirements and embraced sustainable mining protocols. The committee said the project also prioritized people by working closely with local communities and policymakers to build trust, support and cooperation.

A new chapter for Norway’s mineral industry
The Engebø project marks the start of a new era for Norway’s mineral sector. The award is an important acknowledgement of the work invested in developing a modern and sustainable mining operation built on safety, environmental stewardship and local collaboration.
